trying to find someone to take over my lease and found this company name "OPEN LEASE TRANSFER". They will look for a qualified buyer for my lease and in the meantime, they make my monthly payments. Also, I must authorize them to rent my car while they are looking for a qualified buyer! Has anyone heard of them before? Is this a good idea?

 

Never heard of them but I would not consider it... Rent while they find someone.... Who has liability for possible damages, what if they don't find a buyer? You get back a car that was possibly abused, damaged and repaired by who, with what quality work? Not me... OCD wont let me...

 

They insured the car and keep the mileage around the term of the contract. If mileage goes over, they would pay the extra mileage charge !

 

Sounds retarded, and a nightmare in the making.

 

Wouldnt it be the same if you just rent your car out on turo until you find a person to transfer lease to?
