Spotify Streaming via USB

Long time iPhone user and recently switched to a Pixel 4 with Android 10.

Always plugged the iPhone into the USB port and streamed Spotify. Sound quality is better than Bluetooth.

Can't get the Pixel 4 to work that way. It only works via Bluetooth. I also adjusted the USB settings to allow data transfer and it still won't work.

Anyone know how to make this work?

2015 S63 sedan
I'm also curious, I recently got a 2015 S63 and have a Pixel 4 and it doesn't recognize it when I hook it up to USB.

A car
This is a limitation to Spotify due to DRM concerns on Android platform only.

It is not specific to the W222. You can only stream using A2DP (Bluetooth) on Android and Spotify to your car.

I engaged Google tech support and they informed me Android phones can only stream via Bluetooth. The only way to connect directly to command and stream music is through Android Auto.
