Issues with Media Interface

Does anybody else have issues with playing music through the wired media inputs? It works fine for awhile, but I often get "No device connected" or "Device not supported" messages when the phone is connected and charging. I can't take a long trip without running into this issue at some point during the trip. The Bluetooth audio works fine, but I prefer to have the wired connection to select the music I want to listen through the COMMAND interface.

No issues here, using a Gen7 iPod Classic filled with apple lossless tunes.

I had that issue before it ended up being the cheap apple wire i was using. Grabbed an original and problem solved.

I have had the same experience. It usually only occurs when I using Android Auto.

Media Interface (iPod) loses its place

I have been struggling with the same problem for quite a while. I keep an iPod touch wired in my console and prefer using that to using my bluetooth connected phone for music. Oftentimes when I pause the music playing from the wired iPod touch, whether or not i turn the car off, I will see the same message (No device connected/Device not support) and then eventually the music does start but at the very first song alphabetically. When I shut the car off altogether and do NOT pause first it happens less often. I keep my devices iOS updated - but perhaps it is the lack of compatibility between the software installed (I have a 2017 GLC) and the latest iOS..... I will keep looking for help but I am relieved to finally see someone else has the same issue. Argh!!
