Help me identify this part...

After a recent car wash on my 2019 S560, I found this bolt on the passenger side floor. Can anyone help me identify it and where it goes? Thanks.

Can you place something next to it and post another photo for scale? Is the thread diameter 1/16” or 1”?

The finish of the head gives the impression it is a visible trim piece. Looks like a knob.

Agree with FASTTRIP. It doesn't look automotive. It looks like a piece of cabinet or furniture hardware.

If that's from the interilor of a car, it's the longest threaded screw I've ever seen and I've done my share of work on car interiors.

paulmama, when you lay on the floor and look up under the instrument panel, and under the seats, what do you see?
