New Owner - 2016 S550 Verde Brook Metallic (Dark Olive)
Hey guys, I’ve been a member of the forum since around 2013 I guess when I bought my first Mercedes-Benz, a 2009 CLS550, then I picked up a 2013 BMW 740Li, and now I’m back to Mercedes with a 2016 S550. I’ve had it for just about 2 weeks now and love this machine.
It had a little over 28K miles on it when I got it, which I thought was great for a 2016, considering I put around 22K on my Chevy Silverado last year. It’s still under warranty until late March, so I’m hoping that if anything was going to go wrong, it would do so in the next 3 months while I consider the benefits of an extended warranty.
Any advice of suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The only downside I’ve noticed is with this super light interior (thankfully it has black floor mats) I’m going to have to cut down on wearing jeans, as not to transfer so much dye to the seats.
(Excuse the crappy pics, we haven’t had a bright sunny day since I got this thing, and it’s going on 9 days without a quality wash or wipe down - 6 days of rain and 3 days overcast)

Yea save your money and disregard getting an extended warranty. They sell these to make money off people scarred of what could happen vs. what is likely to happen.
Now if you are mechanically inclined then I would suggest you take a trip to EBAY and pay less than 20 dollars for Mercedes WIS which is the exact program suite that the dealer uses. You get the service manual and parts manual and a lot more.
It takes time to learn the program but dam its amazing. If this Maybach owner girl can learn how to use it and then do all the maintenance on her car I would say anyone can.
