Steering wheel phone button doesn't activate phone

Steering wheel phone button doesn't activate phone
I just bought a 2014 s550 and loving every minute of it!!
Quick question - I'm not sure if it's supposed to be this way but when I just push the phone button on the steering wheel it doesn't activate the phone to come on the big screen or the screen in the cluster. It doesn't seem broken tho because it works call someone in the cluster menu.
Let me know if u have any idea. Thanks!

So if you go into one of the selections you will see that even though the phone is paired to the car it might be only paired for music and not tele. On this menu you will be able to select the phone for tele.
I have noticed this when my hubby is in car with me. I bring up the menu and see both devices on it and the choices for what each device is used for in relation to the car.
This menu is i think under devices. OF COURSE I HAVE TO assume you have your phone paired to the car already.
