Strange thing with my S550. The mic on the rear view mirror seems on all the time?
I noticed right when I got the car a couple weeks used that when I move the rear view mirror to adjust it I can hear noises coming through the audio speakers of it making noises moving around. If I tap the inside rear view mirror I can hear the tap noises coming through the the speakers. I also notice talking to somebody riding in the passenger seat I can hear a little feedback through the speakers. This cant be normal. I've been trying to make a warranty appointment at the dealer and the damm service writer is not calling me back, I guess I'll keep trying to call the dealer. Things are unreal these days trying to get a hold of people they are in their own world. Anyone else had this feedback issue happen? Also I notice the range on the homelink to open my garage door is very limited to like around 6 feet back from garage door, this does not seem normal either. All my other benzes have gone at least to the end of my driveway. Other than that the car is in pretty good shape. Just need to get the maps updated, still the original maps from 2017.
I remember a video of someone mentioning a "intercom" feature that they didn't think worked well in their S550. A way you could speak to the rear seat passengers through the sound system and keep your eyes on the road at the same time. However I can't find a mention of such a feature in either manual. I think it was a "Vehicle Virgins" video - things he didn't like about his S550.
Interesting, my car does not have the rear seat package or anything though. I have been through all the system menus and I don't see anything like that, wish it were something I could just turn off though, I'm thinking something is wrong with a module or something. I guess I'm just going to have to stop in the dealer at some point because it's useless trying to get a hold of them on them on the phone.

Thanks so much, you are right, thats exactly what it is, the Voice Amplification was in the on position and the int mirror casing is creaky and it was picking up and amplifying the creaks when I would adjust the mirror. I first noticed it on the test drive of the car two weeks ago with the Salesman, he just said it was nothing. I knew there was something weird going on. Now if I can just figure out why the home link garage door opener signal is so week. Tomorrow I'm gonna try it with all 4 windows rolled down thinking maybe the glass has ceramic tinting on it and it's blocking the signal or something. Again, appreciate the help, I never noticed that setting. I'm pretty sure my 2015 did not have this feature.
