I have taken this car in twice because of the noise that is coming from the driver side Dash. It can be heard when on idle and while in Park.
When driving the more you accelerate the louder it gets. They are saying it is normal. There is no way it is, was not there before. Does anyone have the same issue? Does anyone have any idea what it could be? My warranty is up in a few days and I need to get this addressed.
You're right is not normal. I also have a 2015 S550 and do not have that noise. The fact that the tech found two others that have it is, at best, irrelevant. At worse, bull****.
I wish I had more helpful information. However, I would suggest getting another pair of eyes to check it out. Every "service provider" from mechanics to doctors have their blind-spots.
Another dealership nearby? Or a senior tech at the same dealer?

May be coming from purge valve (y58/1) noise level can vary between vehicles. If it is the PV request replacement, current part # 0004760600. In addition, attached bulletin should be referenced.

Thank you! This was the issue. Took the car back with this info, they had it for a few days and told me that they hate to eat their words but this was correct and the issue had to do with the steering wheel shaft. Much appreciated konigstiger!!!

What would we do without you! ? Thank you so much for being such an attentive member of this forum. I've never had problems with my Benz's but we can always depend on your knowledge of these car to get things handled.
Now if only anybody knew of what to try on my message of data connection temporarily unavailable on my 2017 S550. I’ve got my phone couples properly to the WiFi in the car. I’m thinking about just deleting the car from the app and adding it again and see if that works.
