HI everyone,
It has been two weeks since I installed the Michelin Pilot 4S (Summer Performance), and I can't stand the road noise anymore. I did have Goodyear RFT as original equipment on my 2020 S-Class, and there were noisy too. The dealer offered me to order the Pirelli's RFT for my S-Class. How does Pirelli's (RFT) compare to Michelin 4s Non-RFT? Any input would appreciate it.

I understand your concern with road noise...
With AMG 20" wheels, I couldn't stand the Pirelli's RFTs due to how jarring they were over bumps...so startling I wondered what I hit every time. However, they are quiet and better looking on the car. Think about it...the tire has to have a much firmer side-wall in order to limp home with a flat. Unfortunately, if you get a nail in a OEM RFT, most MB dealerships wont touch it and will only sell you a replacement.
I went with Michelin 3 A/S +...better handling, smoother ride, especially over bumps, however there is a little noise :-(
Discount Tire manager warned me about the Michelin Pilot 4S being noisy...so I know I have less noise than you but there is some, unfortunately.
I am not sure there is an ideal tire for these cars if you use as a daily driver...

My M850xi coupe came with Michelin SS's as part of the HP Performance Pkg, they are very quiet and the ride is sublime...Pilot Sports have been my favorite tire since they came out many years ago and remain so.
Even though ROF's have come a long way, they simply cannot compare to non-ROF's in comfort and are also heavier contributing to more unsprung weight which is never a good thing.
