Android phone unable to connect to internet
Unable to connect to internet and mercedes apps in 2017 S550. Phone connects fine with bluetooth for phone/text/email. I also have a 2015 GL350 and the same phone works for bluetooth and the internet apps. Both are setup to use the same cell provider. I did have to put an app on the phone to get the 2015 GL to work called BlueDun. I also unpaired the phone and then started the BlueDun service before pairing again so it pairs properly and knows about the DUN but still not working. A bit stumped at this point. I would have thought by now this would work much better in an S-class. Had to fiddle quite a bit with the GL to get it to work initially as well but ok now.

Is your S560 a facelifted car, so with the COMAND/NTG 5*5? Then you can NOT use the internet anymore via your smartphone (by bluetooth tethering)! Very annoying.......but you need to use the built-in sim (Vodafone overhere in EU) AND a paid dataplan! Complete rip-off, since the webbrowsing function has been removed begin 2020 and TuneIN does not support HTTPS, so many stations don't play. Only the hotspot will work, but who needs that if you have already a good dataplan on your smartphone? For Weather and POI, you don't need the paid plan, they use the built-sim also.
If you have the pre-facelift car with COMAND/NTG 5*2, it should work, but you might ask a dealer to assist.

Mine is a 2017 so pre facelift. Everything is configured in comand for my carrier just like in my GL350. It just won't connect and times out. BlueDun shows some data going back and forth for about 25sec and then it stops. The apps are pretty useless for the most part but I did check the weather / radar sometime. I just don't like it when something doesn't work that is suppose to.
