Service A9
I'm at about 48k miles on 2015 s550, I've put about 3500 miles since buying used in February. Not to sound obtuse, but what is "Service A9?" Anything dealer required, or can my indi-mechanic do it?

Mercedes-Benz Service A
Mercedes-Benz Service A is a required maintenance package that needs to be taken care of around once every year or 10,000 miles, though these estimates may vary depending on your specific model, your personal driving habits, and the climate you live in. Included with Service A are the following:- Synthetic Motor Oil Replacement
- Oil Filter Replacement
- Tire Inflation Check & Correction
- Brake Component Inspection
- Maintenance Counter Reset

MBWorld Fanatic!
"Service A" is just an over-priced oil change.
While the oil is draining out, the Tech walks around and looks at the brakes and tires and for any other service they can sell you.

But if you drive a lot a year, you could have service A9 due in year 5 for example.
It goes: A1, B1, A2, B2, A3, B3, etc, so essentially it’s the 9th Service A due. That car must’ve had a lot of services done (or reset).
