Spare Tire Panel for W222
Good morning folks,
has anyone with a W222 (MY18-20) in particular have any luck with finding our if there are any panels you can buy to replace in your trunk to allow you to put a mini spare under the floor vs on top in the trunk?
i found a part number 222-690-06-04-9F08, that says is fits my 2018 S560 but when i call to confirm they all tell me the same thing. That they are unable to tell me if it will fit because when they run my VIN number, it onl tells them what my car acme with (which basically says run flats with no spare) so they can’t guarantee that this part will work.
seems like we should be able to get a panel to change out that will allow us to store the spare under the floor of trunk.
any info anyone may have would be greatly appreciated.
THX

If you search the forums you will see that this problem has been around for many years, when the W222 model came out there was no provision for a spare wheel of any sort underneath the floor panel. A lot of us are having to carry the spacesaver in a bag on top of the boot floor. A real issue obviously !
