Leatherique

Anyone have issues using Leatherique on their perforated leather seats? I have heard that with some leathers it can cause darkening around the perforations. Mine are porcelain, so obviously that'd be an issue....

I use Leatherique but my seats are black so any darkening would not be noticeable. Several years ago I also used it in my SLs with tan leather but they had no perforations.
My experience is that the folks at Leatherique are very helpful with questions or when needing advice. So why not give them a call.

According to George at Leatherique, should be no problem with the perforations. He also noted that heated and cooled seats (like in our cars) are in particular need of conditioning because those features can cause shrinking and dryness.

I almost missed this thread,
I used Leatherique on my w220 S55 when the seats got a little less then perfect,
There are photos of it on that other MB forum under my same name

It was absolutely perfect after treatment and stayed that way for years (until I no longer owned the car)
The seats were that super light shade of grey... cant remember the MB color name
I vouch for it - great stuff.. and it did not darken the super light grey one bit
The seats had heating and cooling perforations
Also, the leather maintained its softness

Sorry i didnt chime in immediately - it works

It's a two-step process. First the rejuvenator and after it sits on the leather for hours, then you go over it with the cleaner. After that buff it with a soft cloth and the seats are like new and not greasy at all.

The pores allow the letherique rejuvenator to penetrate the leather faster (and without heat).
Over time the rejuvenator oil will dry and the pores will return to their normal coloration.
