CPO Warranty rolled in after recall is done?

I recently purchased a CPO 2019 S450.
When I purchased the car the dealer told me that
the CPO warranty couldn't be offcially registered because
there is an open recall for the SOS switch.
However, they said as soon as the car gets the recall fixed around April, the
CPO would roll in automatically to the system.
Is this a normal practice?
At the time I was worried so as an insurance I got an internal certification reciept from them
that shows the dealer doing all the services and paying MB a fee for the certification.
Any advise is appreciated.

In many cases, verbal guaranties aren't worth the paper they aren't written on.
Good luck!

Called MBUSA and they said there is nothing like that and dealer was confused. However, mine was activated at the date of purchase so I still have 3.5 years of more coverage.
PS, I sure hope Mercedes didn't put those things in our S-class cars!

Good thing it went all well. I really enjoy the car...
The previous owner took really good care of it, not even a scratch outside or inside.
Even with 28,000 miles, the driver seat smells new.
