Engine Air filter replacement question
My Engine Air Filter is due for replacement, and I am planning to do it myself this time. Anyone with any recommendation for the best website, and best air filter, I can get for 2015 S550 V8 engine?
I noticed some MB owners are installing K&N filter (link below), instead of getting it from factory. I appreciate any advice or recommendation.

Your car has a pair of air filters, and it's a pretty simple process. Conduct the procedure when the car is cold and you're not in a rush. Take your time and be sure to cover the silver turbo air inlets tubes once you disconnect them from the air boxes. That's to prevent dirt or debris from entering the inlets while open. The air boxes are each 2 piece units, so be patient and make sure that you properly re-install all the screws once you're done.
For decades, I have purchased drop-in K&N filters for every vehicle I own. Depending on mileage, once or twice a year, I clean and recharge the filters. While I have never noticed any change in performance, I trust the filtration of K&N products and I appreciate the cost savings in being able to service and re-use the filters.

As I rember on my wagon I got PG air filters on amazon for 15 bucks for the pair. I thought it was ea air filter for that price now I have a spare pair. They seem good too. It’s a fairly easy job and I think the dealer told me they get 150 for doing it so worth doing yourself.

One tip I would offer is, don't kill yourself trying to disconnect the sensor wires on the rear of the filter housing. I found it difficult to get the connections apart but the wire is long enough to just turn the housing over and take out the screws to open it up. In my car, there was quite a lot of junk, including leaves, in the housing, so take your time to clean it out thoroughly.
