[W222] Does pre-facelift W222 S class have daytime running LEDs?
Japanese specs W222 edition 1 (late 2013 model) - does this car have DRLs LEDs? When turned on via menu on the dash, daytime lights simply turn the road lights on permanently on... I was expecting these "eyelashes" LEDs alone to be functioning as DRLs, but it's not the case - apparently these are considered "parking" lights. Can anyone comment? Could it be just some weird Japanese coding I am yet to figure out how to change?

You can check to see if you have this option to turn them on in the settings menu. If not, you may need to call your local dealer to see if it's possible to have them coded on.

Yeah, this option, when switched on in the cluster - turns on both: parking lights and road lights. It's like turning your lights on manually.
I thought somebody got that cracked already ;-)

I managed to figure it out... I kept assuming that I need to turn something ON for this to work, but that's not the case. When you activate DRLs from the cluster Lights menu, Japanese spec car will turn on both - road lights (inner and outer) along the LED "eyelashes". These LEDs are also dimmed. In order to make this work, I basically started tackling every option that contained TFL in the name, working with BC_F222 module.
Options to be configure are PLSM_TFL_ABL - this must be set to OFF in order to disable headlamps lighting up with eyelashes LEDs
PLSM_TFL_STL - this must be set to OFF in to prevent dimming of eyelashes when running as DRLs.
optionally: PLSM_TFL_AVL when set to Off, it will completely disable the eyelashes and keep the main lights as DRLs...
