Wheels tires
I know this has been discussed so much but I’m a little lost. I’d like to replace my s450 staggered setup with non staggered.
245 45-19 tires on front
275 40-19 tires on back
can I just put one size on all 4? If so which size? Or do I need to have 2 wheels swapped out? If so which ones? And does anyone know the wheel sizes? Called Tirerack and they said change out your rear wheels to same size as front and then put all 245 45-19 tires. Is this correct?
Thanks in advance.

That's what I'm doing right now. Going to 19 x 8.5" wheels and 245/45-19 tires all around. In my case, will add a 15mm spacer to the rears, along with longer bolts (60 mm shanks), in order not to leave a noticeable gap between the tire and fender. BTW, this nifty website (http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp) gives you a handy side-by-side comparison for all the key dimensions. For instance, note that the tire diameter in back only changes by 3mm when I go from 275/35-20 to 245/45-19 tires, not enough to bother the ABS or speedometer.
Many benefits to the square set-up. One I didn't appreciate at first is you have many more tire choices in the 245/45-19 size. With the staggered 20s I have now, the rears require 275/35-20 and there aren't as many choices in that size. I'm going to run Pirelli P7 Cinturato All-Season + tires, which I really liked on my last car.

Given I don’t understand all the nuances would really appreciate it if you provide links to the different parts you’re installing.
thanks.
thanks.

Got the rear spacers and 60mm shank bolts from this guy ... https://www.ebay.com/itm/371676141068
There are tons of 19 x 8.5 Mercedes wheels, I bought four of this style (they're used on CLS models). These wheels have an ET of 43 vs. 38 on the 20's, but with spacers it would be difficult for anyone to tell a difference in how they fill the wheelwells.

I've got a square setup (245/45/19) for my winter wheels as any car will handle snow and icy conditions better on narrower wheels. But it becomes apparent when you get a look at the rear of the car that the back wheels look too narrow for a car of this size. So I look forward to getting the stock and staggered 20's back on the car in the Spring for a proper look. If you are going to run the wheels in mostly decent weather, I'd definitely stick with the staggered wheels that you already have.
