Help. High Pressure Fuel Pumps Broken

Help. High Pressure Fuel Pumps Broken
Got the orange light on the dash this morning on the way to work. Car was driving fine up to that point. This made it go into safe mode where I couldn't raise the revs greater than 2000RMPs. Made it to the dealer and dropped it off. They said code was in regards to the fuel pressure and that BOTH high pressure fuel pumps would need to be replaced. Seems odd that both would go at the exact same time. They wand 2k (Canadian) for the parts. Thoughts?

Rock Auto has the pumps for around 300 bucks for the right and left Bosch units. Sounds like they are ripping you off.

Thanks, will check them out. Any thoughts on needing both? Seems unlikely they would both go at the same time.

No clue, but for 300 bucks I would just do both of them.

If the second pump is only $300, then once you've depressurized the system and taken all that stuff apart, it only makes sense to do them both.
