W222 Original Car Cover

Hi everyone,

I park my S class outside of my house and trying to protect it from rain and sun. Does anyone here have experience with Mercedes Benz Original Car Cover for S class?

Just to pile on a little, how well does a cover get along with the hood ornament?

Yes, Fits like a glove. Very well made. You can purchase on amazon. I think the price is around $400- . You can literally purchase hundreds of covers on line, 1 ply, 2 ply, 10 ply, Radioactive super shield etc..... I wanted fit and finish and high quality. The OEM fit the bill 100%. Extremely well made. Also comes with a warrantee. The Lined with felt underneath to protect the paint. After 2 years I gave it another coat of 3M water protectant. Not really needed as the water will not penetrate the cover.

Thanks for sharing. Does your cover has a special cut for the hood ornament or it goes on the top. I ordered one from carcover.com and the problem I have is the pressure put on the hood ornament since there is no cut for it.

Be careful using these long term. Wind will move the cover around and begin rubbing paint off edges of the car. Ask me how I know.

My s class is kept under a car port so quite well protected but I also use a light weight indoor/outdoor cover, I fold the bonnet star flat and put a bit of pipe lagging tube on the roof sharks fin , been doing this for 2 1/2 years now and works well for me.

You must ensure the both the car and the inside of the cover are kept clean or any grit (even fine) will scratch the paint.
