Problem storing contacts and addresses in Command
Hi everyone. I asked this a couple years ago and it seemed like this is not a problem others have had. So since two years have passed, I thought I'd reach out again.
I have an issue with my 2014 S550. The Command system will not allow me to store or import phone contacts. Also, the system does not show my paired phone contacts, it does not show any last numbers dialed, nor will it let me import my contacts, etc. Easily 6 phones have been tried, and I have no such problem with my AMG GTS, my E400 Cab, nor my wife's ML.
Also, I cannot store address contacts in the navigation system (regardless of whether a phone is paired or not). So I do not believe this to be a "phone" issue. It is a broader "contacts" issue with the command system.
Everything else on the Command system works fine.
I took it to the dealership where they said they reset the system and then updated the software. No change - the system will still not store or display contacts. They said the only other thing to try is to replace the Command system. Given that the warranty has passed, I think I'll pass on that option.
So - does anyone here have any suggestions or experience to share? It would be lovely to be able to dial from voice or from the stored contacts, or to enter and save navigation contacts.
