Front Windshield Water Drain

Hi,
I had the water drain that extends from the corner of the front windshield down to near the front wheel well fall out (see picture)? I am going on a couple of long trips now so I really don't have time to get this replaced.
Is this a serious problem? What will happen if I get into rain without this part in place?
Thanks.

I had the exact same piece fall out. I was told don't worry about it. That was a year ago and I haven't had any issues.

I had the same issue as well. I was able to feed it back up from the bottom and reattach it pretty easily. Haven't had any issues since. It did take a bit to figure out where it goes though. There is an opening in the shield under the car where is passes through to drain. It is right behind the wheel. I think I had to loosen a few screws on the underbody panel to be able to get it open enough to push that drain back in place. If i recall right i think it took all of 5 min to fix. I also can't see an issue if you dont put it back either.

I had the same thing on both of my W222s- I never replaced it and never had an issue.

Happened to me. Dealer charged me $90 to reinstall as he claimed I hit the underside on something and that’s why it fell out. 2 weeks later it fell out again. Have to waste another trip to get in reinstalled.
