CPO Warranty Vs Credit Union Warranty

100% claims acceptance on the policies I have issued, the majority being Mercedes AMGs, Bentleys, Land Rovers and Ferraris, a fellow forum member just had $2800 in repairs completed on his GLS 63AMG at his local dealer, on a policy that only cost him $4,200 that he started only couple months ago. I only issue our most comprehensive coverage, they're not mid level coverage policies that dealers try to roll into their financing at the dealership.

We have access to the the system, same system that lets us issue policies, I can see and track the status of claims, policies, refunds, payouts, etc.

everyone buys an extended warranty for peace of mind. why sleep with 1 eye open worrying if the warranty is going to pay out when you can spend just a few more dollars and sleep peacefully.

2018 S560
I"m still in search for my used S560 and I'm contemplating buying CPO or a non CPO and getting a 3rd party warranty through my credit union OR just buying used and rolling the dice as I can afford a 10k repair if it came down to it. I bought a CPO S-550 8 years ago and enjoyed the peace of mind, but I am having a hard time finding out how much more I am paying on top for a 2019 that is a CPO... Also, does anyone know how much it cost to add 2 more years onto a CPO S-560? I used a place many years ago on this forum and I want to say it was around 5k, but wanted to find out if the price has increased a lot since 2013?

I sat on this for exactly 30 days after I purchased my S-Class used and luckily Jeff was able to get it into the system before MB charges a surcharge of 15% on top of the warranty price after you are past the 30-day mark.

I recently purchased an additional 2 years on my CPO warranty on my 2018 S560 and paid $3,850.00 from Jeff Jackson at Mercedes-Benz of Louisville. I also received a quote from Rafael at MB of Elmbrook and he was the same price, so I know this was most likely the best price I was going to get.
I sat on this for exactly 30 days after I purchased my S-Class used and luckily Jeff was able to get it into the system before MB charges a surcharge of 15% on top of the warranty price after you are past the 30-day mark.

2019 s560. 40k miles. CPO. haven’t taken possession yet as I’m waiting on delivery.
Has another 8 months of factory warranty and then 1 year of CPO after that. So I could buy the MB extension for another 1 or 2 years after- which is fully refundable if I sell the car before it kicks in.
Or I could buy a third party from who? At what price? Does it not start until my current warranties run out?

I wouldn’t buy anything but the MB extended warranty. I did a lot of research before making my final decision and I read too many messages about others who used a third party and items just weren’t covered. MB stands behind their products and will take care of you. It might be more but in my opinion, it’s totally worth it for the peace of mind.
