removing heater fan
Does anyone have the work instructions for removing the Heater Fan that I assume is buried under the dash. It has become a tad bit noisy and if it is not a big deal I was going to swap it with a new one. Thanks.

I don't know how to do it myself but I know they replaced it in my 2015 S class and the service manager (a friend of mine) said the entire dash assembly has to be removed- he said it was a big job.

Not sure who your SA/friend is but it took me about an hour to get mine out, it’s right next to the air cabin filters and is pretty easy to take out with 5 t15 screws holding it in. Few squirts of dialectric grease on the motor shafts and it is quiet as can be. No more cricket noise and I think I may have done a few yoga moves during the process.

Don’t swear like that friend! Suffice to say I was more then relieved to have the A/C evaporator, blower motor and assorted sundries covered by the CPO warranty at 99,700 miles in my ‘96 S-600 back in the day!
