Heads up display retrofit for w222?
Has anyone retrofitted the OEM heads up display into your w222? If so please point me in the right direction. Only thing I found was a YouTube video with music and no instructions. Thanks

Different instrument cluster panelling, different windshield before going to the control units and coding. The W222 HUD has limited information anyway. Would still be interesting to see a retrofit guide.

That would be a major project indeed. Just to change out the physical parts would challenge most DIYers. As Disel Benz told you that then you have to get into coded control units. Big headache. Good luck if you go ahead with project.

I have HUD in my 15' and I find it very, very simple. It would likely cost thousands and thousands of dollars to retrofit and to me, it wouldn't be worth it. I really do enjoy HUD in my other vehicles, but the S550's is very basic. It displays your speed, speed limit (if 17' or coded on) and navigation directions (doesn't work with carplay). I believe the facelift HUD has pretty limited features as well. I'd be curious as to how expensive the retrofit would end up being.
