The OEM offset is 38mm. So they'll stick out 7mm more then the stock set up.

Quarter inch or so eh? Wonder if thats safe or if I have to worry about rubbing. Still shopping for 19's so I can join the "its hip to be square" gang.

Does anyone know how I can verify? Also any dangers of running this square setup? I know some of the W222 wheels have a 38 offset all around but can't find anything lower than that. That's also for a staggered setup.

Seller wrote back and said he guarantees these will fit my vehicle with no rubbing... also noticed the tires are 255/45 R19 which seemed bigger than normal...

Any last thoughts from the gang before I pull the trigger? This would be a great 19" square setup if it indeed fits.

It will work just fine. 10mm difference does not create any issues.

The wider tire will not be a problem. There is also no chance of rubbing. You are within 6.5 millimeters in the front and about the same as OEM in the rear given that you use a 1 inch narrower rim in the rear.
I assume these are aftermarket rims? If anything I would use a 5-10 mm spacer in the rear to make sure front and rear stance look right.

Just make sure the rim design fits the car. Good luck!

Are these actually from a W223? The exact wheel dimensions and tyre size of a W223. Sounds like someone got the 223 with 19 inch wheels and wants to change them to bigger ones.

The W223 wheel sticks less out than the 38 mm offset W222 wheel, this is why a spacer would make them stick the same as Wolfman suggests.

Be aware that adding wheel spacers to your car can introduce vibration. A lot of the spacers out there have a chamfered inner opening and this allows the spacer to move around a bit on the rotor and hub. Mercedes uses the hub to center the wheel and if the spacer is not exactly centered on the hub the wheel will go on out of center and when you drive you will feel this. I had to get hub spacers and mill them down to fill in this chamfered edge so that the rear wheels would be centered on the hub. PITA.

Wheel spacers cause zero issues with vibrations of any kind if done right. Spacers above 5mm have to be hub centric and replicate the hub and lip with enough space inside the spacer for the factory lip. Some cars have a long lip and require wider spacers to be hub centric. Chances are that the S-Class requires more than 10mm width for hub centric spacers.

My spacers had a coating of some kind that made them too tight to the hub. I did quite a bit of sanding in the bore of the spacer and also cleaned up the hub, but still have to tap the spacer into place to make it to seat all the way around. (Tightening the lug bolts in a proper pattern to 110 ft lbs should also help ensure everything's fully seated). I haven't had any vibration on the wheels with the spacers, but I see how it could be possible.

Remember to put some antisieze on the hub since it's steel and the spacer is aluminum alloy. Also gives a little lubrication to help it seat properly.
