All my brake work on all cars is done by the same Indy shop. Find a proven indy and you should be fine Mercedes brakes are not unique. Tell your Indy what you want and let him source the parts. Good luck.

This place is a joke.
You guys seem unfamiliar with the lifestyle of an average dealer principle.

I remember a dealer calling me an insisting that I needed new rotors because they were thinner than minimum wear dimensions.
I said I will be there is 10 minutes.
I showed up with my micrometers and we measured them at 4mm above minimum.

Dealers prey upon the ignorant and weak.

Edited to add:
Pads are about $1,000 per axle on my Ferrari (semi-racing pads:: Ferodo DS2500)
Rotors are over $1,000 per axle
Luckily I get 25-35 HPDE days on a set of rotors, but only 5-8 HPDE days on a set of pads.

Aren't your rotors a two part item with ceramic rotors? If so, I was under the impression that those rotors would last for 100k miles

No, standard steel rotors, but there are six calipers in total, two each on the fronts. Of course, this alone doesn't justify their quote. I will ask for a detailed price breakdown for parts/labor and then shop indy's when it's time.

Yeah, the dealers are predators!

Another +1 for FCP I got the front and rear pads/rotors/sensors for around 1200 for my CLS last january! STILL waiting for the light to come on!

That W126 is in such great shape, it must turn heads daily!
