Sold my S560
Well I finally gave in to my true self and sold my S560. Although I may consider one in the future, I feel the new W223 just looks too generic from the outside and no longer holds the esteemed look. The grill and rounded rear end is horrendous. I have owned 9 wagons in my life on top of numerous SUV's, 7 being Mercedes. I just acquired my 3rd E450, a new 2021 loaded All Terrain. Certainly not as quiet or smooth as the S but a great new engine and functionality, the best in it's class.
Looking forward to the warm spring to fill it with all the usual yard waste and new plants for the garden. I never quite utilized the S class features and being a single 70 yr old, I was the only one seated in that beast. Most of all, the dog is ecstatic he's got his ride back!
I want to sincerely thank all you members for helping me with all my issues.
Now it's time to switch back to the E450 forum

Mine was a 2018, loaded to the hilt without bar, dvds and executive rear seat although it had the enhanced rear reclining seat and sold it for more than I paid for it last April. Autotrader has a feature where you can ask dealers out there if they're willing to buy and make you an offer. The 'chip' shortage has created such a stock shortage of new and used vehicles. Dealers are also playing the auction markets between each other too more aggressively. Believe it or not, a Ford dealer bought my S and found me a new E450, all done in 2 days.
May look at another S as I get older but at 70, I'm going to utilize my wagon for a lot of garden projects and the dog won't allow another S for a while lol.

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
I have both. A 2018 S class loaded with everything and a mid level 2019 E450 Wagon. It's interesting doing a direct comparison of the two driving them back to back. The S class is definitely quite a bit more comfortable and smooth and quiet. But you'd expect that. Once I replace the tires on the wagon from the 245-40-19s with 245-45-19 inch non run flats I'm sure the ride of the E450 will be much better. Right now it feels kinda choppy and sports car'ish. I believe it's mostly from the really stiff sidewalls and low profile of the run flat tires on the car now, Michelin Primacy zp 3's. Definitely a sporty style tire. The sound system in the S class with the 3D Audio is so much better than the stock Wagon system. Too bad MB didn't have a upgrade audio option on the wagons I woulda been interested.
