The ILS Systems is still not allowed on US-bound cars? They system is amazing and really helps all drivers the ones using it and the other cars around the ones using it!!

I think it is since 2021 or so. And if not never seen some inspection or a cop looking in there anyway. who cares

As one who has ILS+ activated, it is another level of usefulness. Better visibility at the roadside (kids, wildlife?), and I’ve never been flashed once by an oncoming driver.

It’s legalized but there are still some regulatory hurdles that keep it turned off

Since this seems to be the ILS+ thread, I figured I'd ask my question here. I have a 2023 GLC in the US that I had coded for ILS+ and it's been working amazingly well. I recently went to the dealer for my normal service and noticed it's no longer in the menu to select but after driving at night I still have the multibeams working as before. Has anyone experienced this before or have any insight into this? Did I lose any functionality or is this residual software in the cameras/lights that MBUX itself doesn't show?

Yes they deleted it with the MBUX update in the headunit only, meaning just the switch/page in the menu.

Thumbs up for Benz Ninja!

Not ILS-related, but just wanted to give a shout out to BenzNinja for outstanding service. Bought hardware based on his recommendation and had him configure it for Xentry/Das - have been using it for years and anytime I screw something up he fixes it remotely - top-notch service! This guy’s the real deal in a world of mostly low-quality product and minimal support. 10/10 would recommend. And no, I didn’t get anything for this review, I’m just a very happy customer. Cheers.

Same thing happened to me... BenzNinja coded my 2020 GLS for ILS+. Then about 6 months later, there was an over-the-air MBUX update that wiped out all the custom coding he did in the headunit.

HOWEVER, the coding BenzNinja did in the headlamp control unit itself did NOT get wiped out, so the actual headlights are still perfectly functional with ILS+, as desired.

So, the only real rub is that I can no longer deselect the ILS+ functionality, though I can't imagine every wanting to do so, since it's FREAKING AWESOME!

This is a big benefit, other coders in my experience won't make this commitment.

I would like to add that the Lithium to AGM battery conversion was a great relief and saved me $2000. Very happy and works like a charm!

Just had some fun with @BenzNinja Friday and am once again a happy customer! I swapped my 6yo main battery (rare here in the desert) for a new one and for some reason it wiped out the coding the previous owner had done to the car regarding the Auto Stop/Start setting.

So I pinged Peter and set up a time to get the following done;
  • AssistPlus interval change to 5,000 miles
  • ECO Start/Stop last active mode
  • Lights - BenzNinja Advanced ILS+
He estimated 45 minutes and 37 minutes later it was all done and functioning perfectly!

The ILS+ especially is crazy cool!

I have a 2014 W222 S-550 with headlights that say "LED Intelligent Light System" on them - would my car be eligible for the ILS+ coding upgrade?

Contact Ninja on WhatsApp. He coded my 2017 exactly as requested. Study his menu. A lot is offered.

He knows his stuff, is quick and responsive. Im 100% satisfied with his coding which included ILS.

Ring him up.

BenjNinja did mine and I drove it for the first time last night and no one flashed me. I happened down a country road and you can literally watch it in action. UNREAL is all I can say.

@BenzNinja is the best around. He can do tons of other things beyond ILS+. He transformed our 2018 S450 so much when I was looking at new EVs and Porsches this year I noticed that our car had most or more than any new cars. He also worked with me during the worst parts of my cancer treatment. His changes made our every two week drives from DFW to Houston a whole lot easier on me. Not just a great tech, but a great person. I cannot recommend or praise him highly enough.

Hoping he can figure out the ILS+ for digital lights soon for my CLE 53. He coded my 2018 E400 lights and it was a game changer. All the recommendations for BenzNinja.

Lived in DFW my entire life until moving to MI in 2019. My dad got sick in 2012…I have a good idea why you are/were traveling to Houston regularly. Best wishes for your health, and what a testament to @BenzNinja and how these vehicles and their technology can make a real impact.

Perfect ILS+ Activation service available for all Mercedes models with option 640(Multi-beam) or 316 (digital light)

The most economical way is here:
1: OpenPort 2.0 (buy from eBay or Amazon: $40-50)
2: Windows Laptop (if you don’t have borrow one or rent one for 1-2 days), install TeamViewer software.
3: Coding charges: price here. WhatsApp me (your reliable and trusted site sponsor) for quick assistance.

This No 1 and 2 setup can do almost all coding related job, like clear airbag fault or code off/memory auto start stop. If you load the diagnose software then you can do full car diagnose, on eBay we can find this service easily at very low cost. If your car is newer model like W223 or W206, just buy one enet cable will make all.
