disable alarm permanently?
Is there a way to disable the alarm permanently? I generally find that alarms do more to make neighbors hate you than they do to deter thefts. Also, car transport companies often require alarm disabling before transport. A search of both the COMAND and operators manuals turned up nothing on this.

I have not had an issue with a stock alarm since my 1984 300ZX, which I disabled by pulling a fuse. I do not see an issue ever with a modern car and alarms going off, there is no motion sensors like the old days. I shipped my 97' Q45 from SF Bay to Rocchester NY and they never said one word about the factory alarm, nor did it go off in 19 years and my MB hasn't gone off in 3+ years.
