AC Not Blow COLD Air

Hi Family,

I've tried searching the forum for my issue but no luck. I only see threads that AC won't blow hot air.

I went out of town for about 15 days and when I got back my AC was no longer blowing COLD air. I tried driving it around for a while hoping it was only the battery and that maybe it had gone into reserve mode but after a few days still nothing. Its an S550e and after charging the electric battery to 100% still nothing. No engine lights, no messages, nothing. The AC blows full throttle. Checked the freon and it has more than enough. What can possibly be the issue? Please help. Thanks in advance.

I had this happen to me, it took me a couple of days, but I found that clicking on the A/C Rest button got it going again.

My A/C compressor died w/o warning last summer on my 2015 w/ 55k miles. Same symptoms. It was roughly $2500-3k to replace.

You have to connect your S to StarDiagnose - on mine there were faulted valve - 300EUR for part, 100EUR for replacement. AC is again working with cold air.

I don't have an AC Rest button on my dash. Only Menu Rest, but still nothing.

Did you check everything before concluding it was compressor? I just got it diagnosed and they're saying its probably compressor.

To the extent I was able to, but it was priority to get it fixed during the height of the hot summer weather. They originally thought I'd need new condenser as well, but got away with just the compressor.

Holy crap WILL! I just brought my new-to-me 2015 S550 home tonight for the first time and noticed that the A/C had stopped working!! Surely I checked it during my PPI, right? No way I would have let that go unnoticed! ( I live in the desert! )

So I searched the forum and found your post here, and DING I remember pushing buttons when I got in the car to drive home and forgot which ones I pushed! Sure enough I pushed the REST button. Thanks for taking the time to post this, saved me a lot of worrying and diagnostics!
