Thanks!!! Almost got it.
I wanted to thank everyone who answered my questions. I’m almost there.
Today I took a 60 minute test drive on a 2020 W222 4Matic with 3,500 miles. Actually two test drives. One with partner in back seat (bad) and one with him in front seat (better).
Any suggestions for settings to make someone prone to motion sickness be more comfortable? Like lower the vehicle.
Lane keep assist was wild! No hands steering.
Navigation will need some work. It kept defaulting to different states. CarPlay worked better for nav.
Is it a good idea to reset all settings to start fresh? If that is possible.
They have offered me 1.49% financing with 36 month term with a hefty deposit, my choice. That’s good enough. Next is to bring in my Buick for trade in eval. I have my fingers crossed.

Congrats, 1.49% sounds great in the current market, I hope that it goes through.
With regards to reseting, I know that there are options to reset piecemeal, and there may well a reset all, but I haven’t looked for it. I have had to reset my seat settings, nav history etc.
In the past, when buying from a Mercedes dealership, our cars have always come fully reset. Whether they do it en masse, or by module I have no idea!

What about phone numbers, call logs, contacts, etc? Did Mercedes provide a simple means of clearing out all that stuff from a prev owner?
Ideally, one would think a dealer or other seller would take care of that as part of make-ready ...

In the back seat of a big soft car like the S Class motion sickness will always be a problem. Sport mode will help because of the firmed up suspension. But folks prone to motion sickness should sit up front.

I don't recall what mode the car was in. Wouldn't COMFORT mode be better than SPORT mode for carsickness? Or am I getting it backwards? Also maybe because the window blinds were up, he couldn't see outside. I've heard that can affect people.
Dealer says I can return within 7 days and 500 miles so I thought to get some more pax in the back seat to see if this is a common thing and take a 100 mile roadtrip. Maybe the Airmatic setting is on elevate, is that even possible at highway speeds? It's been 7 years since I've been in an S class.

HEY I GOT IT!!!!
I spent about 2 hours at the dealer doing paperwork. And briefly going over a few things with the sales rep. Navigation is more clear to me and works well. Except it doesn't say, "your destination is on the left/right". I suppose if I looked at the map more carefully I would figure it out? I always have Siri.
Only strange thing for me, was, right after pairing my phone, and asking Siri for music, it played over my phone speakers. I had to choose iPhone-Music in the menu. Then it was over the Burmester system. Will I have to do that every time I'm in the car?
I am *much* happier in the W222 than I would be in the W223. That W223 interior is ugly as f---. Mercedes Benz *really* should have put the Hyperscreen in there.
Now I need to figure out the Parking Assist feature. So many buttons. So many screens. I'm not sure I'll like the touchpad.
How soon do you think I should replace the main battery, what with all the electronics in the car? I got used to replacing it every 2-3 years in my Buick LaCrosse.

Congrats, you should be studying owners manual as well . I like touchpad and find it more useful than touch the screen but it's about preference .You have got not 1 but 2 batteries , I don't think Buick LaCoresss err LaCrosse comes with 2 batteries . My dad's Fleetwood needs to be replaced every 3 years and that car lacks electronic amenities and gadgets either

OK thanks for your comment. He said he tried to adjust the backseat down but it wasn't enough. He also says "I liked the leather on your 2004 S500 more than the leather on the 2020 S560. The seats are too hard." The S560 has only been driven for 3500 miles so maybe the seats need a butt in them to soften up?

Hey thanks for the comments. I need to get myself a Sunshade for these hot North Carolina summers. And decide if I should keep the Primacy MXM4 tires before our short winter gets here.
