Pre-paid service on 2020 S560 4Matic

I know I want to pay the dealer for the 2 years of extended CPO warranty to make it 3 plus years warranty for a total of 5 years. I could go private and get more. But I have a dealer I took my other MB's to (C240, S500), Raleigh Mercedes-Benz, and I figure why not give them my money? What I am NOT sure about is whether to get the Pre-paid service. I don't believe I ever had to pay for service on my 2001 C240 4Matic. I figured I would pay out of pocket for service. I can use the credit card mileage points. (United Mileage Plus).

Any thoughts?

I would want to understand what your ROI is on the pre-paid maintenance, what does it really cover and how much would that cost you out of pocket?

For example, I got two years of maintenance included with a CPO, but all that it actually covered was one A and one B service, nothing else, only about $1,000 if it was out of pocket. I have learned that a service on a V6 S Class costs more than the same service on an E or CLS (both with a V6!)

I bought my car in 2019 and CPO at that time didn't include any pre-paid maintenance at all. I was offered the 2 years extra warranty and 3 years of pre-paid service for $9,800 which I laughed at when they showed me that. The guy told me it was end of the month yada yada and said what would I pay. I offered $4,500 for it and they came back at 5k and we settled at $4,750. I then got essentially 3 services which were pretty basic for the first one, but the second one I got new spark plugs, new wiper blades as well as oil & filter as well as few other things. I live in the Bay Area where everything is more $$$ so that would have been nearly 2k all by itself. Then I got the final of the 3 services and they did all fluids including tranny flush. Again nearly 2k service stop.

I will see about buying another 3 years if they will offer it while I still have the extended warranty if I can find it for around the same $2k price. I have a good indy mechanic but if I can get the full MB service at that price point I will grab it, I love the dealership expereince from Autobahn motors and the chance to have any final issues resolved before the warranty expires. They did a flex plate in January when it was in last service that was nearly $1,500. My advise get it but negotiate HARD. I asked the service write about buying another service package and he said "do it but wait unilt your service light comes back on" which I appreciated since I would have wasted a full year when the car needed nothing.
