W222 mirrors don't fold anymore after repair.

Hello,
the mirrors on my car used to be set to fold automatically upon locking the car. I liked the feature as a feedback ( rather than the audio feedback ) and also because the car looks nice parked with folded mirrors .

I picked up my car from the shop on Monday after some repairs done from a small collision on the front wheel. The tie rod was bent and the alignment was way off.
since I picked the car up Monday from the shop, the mirrors won't fold at all, even when I press the button. Moreover, the option in command is no longer there .

What's confusing is that when I checked the user manual on the dash, there's a note about this feature only being available in Canada , same with the pdf I downloaded from MBUSA.

I looked for clues on the forum and found threads about resetting the mirrors, upon a battery disconnect, tried it without success.
Does an anybody else have the function enabled / disabled ?
2015 s550e, located in the USA .

I have not taken the car to the repair shop ( independent) , nor called the dealership ( have never been helpful so far) yet.

I have used this feature since I got the car and it has always worked on my USA 2016 S550 coupe, even after service in the shop. Do you think they could have changed your software to a different program? Good luck.

I’ve had this happen a couple of times on my 2019 in the few months that I’ve had it.

I saved this procedure, you may need to do it a couple of times.1 go into menu and turn auto fold off.

2 exit menu

3 turn car off, go out and lock car

4 open car and restart

5 go to menu and turn auto fold on

6 exit menu

7 turn car off

8 lock car from outside of car

I just had this same problem today. I followed the process above, and the mirrors now fold automatically again.

Many thanks for posting this info!
