@#$%!^& touchpads!!!
I like tech. But I already knew I didn't like the touchpad above the rotary dial in the center. I keep touching it when trying to use the rotary control.
Call me stupid but I thought I had a short in my steering wheel. I would honk the horn (!!) and it would change the music. I figured out today that I was touching the @#$%^&! touchpad on the right side of the steering wheel.
I use the touchpad on the left side of the steering wheel without problems. But rarely the right one.
Does anyone know of a 1983 S class available for sale? Or maybe a Toyota Corolla?
/joke

I guess I wrap my fingers around the horn like I’m holding on to it.
What idiot put a touchpad on the steering wheel?

Funny thing is that many other people also complain about those touch pad buttons on the steering wheel unlike those guys I seem to like them at least I have not pressed pardon touched the wrong button to change the functions while driving

Hmmm, OP I wonder if you want to swap the steering wheel to the W223 one, but I am not sure if you like capacitive touch at all.

@zitsky is it possible that you have two left thumbs? If so, the S Class might just be confused as to why a left thumb is on the right button, that is not the German way!

Who do I talk to to get the designer fired? I called the dealer and it’s too late to get my Buick back.
There should be a way to turn off the touchpads or change the behavior. It’s only when playing music that they are a problem.

I tried when I was driving yesterday, try as I might there is no way to touch the buttons when honking the horn.
For the music, if you change what is in your center screen away from the Audio display that thumbpad will no longer change music tracks
