CPO 2019 - picking up next week.
What do I look for in a CPO I am picking up next week? The sales guy keeps pushing the 160+ checks but I'm still cautious - first time owner. Loved my dad's 280e from 86.
Any advice on sercice options I should purchase would be much appreciated as well ‐ Extended warranties, wheel protection etc.

paint scratches, dents, dings
wheel rash, tire cuts
brake pad thickness (buy the plastic tool from autozone)
carpet stains
seat scuffs, stains, cuts
all interior and exterior lights work
engine or drivetrain oil leaks
steering, suspension and brakes work
air suspension doesn’t droop, returns to level
smooth engine idle, starts, revs, drives well
transmission shifts properly
Audio system works
Door handles, locks, windows operate
Ignore all words that emanate from the salesperson’s mouth.

I just bought a 2017 S-550 4-Matic under the MB CPO program. To sum up my experience...it has been a disaster, with one exception. Like Chassis said, do your homework. Most salespeople care about selling much more than about understanding the cars they sell. They are NO help. Be sure to get the actual service records and the CPO checklist from the dealer B4 you purchase.

CPO means they ran the car through the car wash. If the salespersons mouth is moving, they are lying. The only real value of a CPO car is the extended warranty and a little leverage that you have over the selling dealer if there is a problem right away.
