anyone have the cpo extended warrty info?

So I went w Mercedes of Elmbrook and went w a 3rd party extended warty.... 3 yr 36k came to $2605 w a 250 deductible. Raphael told me it was through Porsche? Not sure. It is exclusionary and seemed to be ok. I was on my last day of cpo so needed to do it that day. The 2 yr cpo extension was approx $4200. At that price I prb would have just self insured.

You did the right thing. From what I’ve seen best off to avoid the mb Warrantee at this point. Didn’t use to be that way though. It is what it is. I feel like I wasted 4 grand myself.

I got a quote from AAA on my soon to be delivered 2012 E450. The price was $1k for 6 years for wheel and tire with cosmetic repair, PDR AND lost key replacement. WAAAAAAAAY better than the quote i got from the finance guy at the dealership. I will let everyone know if there are any issues with claims but I wanted to share what I found.

Agree. Avoid MB extended warranty. I paid too much ( $4,000) for a 2 year extension of the CPO and have had nothing but problems with MB dealers and MB USA. Didn't used to be this way...MB USA has forced dealers to deny claims that should be covered.

You did get hosed for sure on that, I paid $800 more and got the 3 year servie package. Hey 1bad540 what company is that 3 year warranty through? That seems like something I may consider

from my experience they cover what is specifically worded in the warranty document and not a single thing more.

There are couple threads about customers of the MB Extended Warranty having dealerships telling them their EW work would be more likely to be covered by the selling dealer of the policy, and not at the dealership they were currently at for repairs.
