Aux battery went yesterday in my 2018.

100 bucks at batteries plus. Gonna do it myself. These 275 an hour dealer rates around here are just crazy. Anyone who’s done it just pretty much disconnect the terminals and reconnect the new one and should be all set? Looks like it’s burried pretty well in the rear passenger quarter panel. Think I’ll be able to access it ok though. Watched a YouTube video on it last night. Right now have the aux malfunction message and no cruise control or brake hold or stop/start.

I did my 2015 last summer, and it was a piece of cake. It does require a little time to take out the panels, but it's a simple disconnect/reconnect.

Yes, not too hard. There's a vid or two on Youtube that shows each of the steps. Only twist I encountered: the battery sits on a slide out tray, that wasn't immediately apparent to me at first. Good luck and buy your wife or girlfriend flowers and a nice dinner with the money you save!

Not exactly disconnect/reconnect but not difficult either. The rear SAM needs to be loosened to make room for the tray to come out as mentioned above. Videos will show which screws to remove etc.

Thanks folks. I’m at a Indy garage now getting it done. I had the panels out but had an issue trying to get the battery out. Hopefully it’ll be ok. MB does not make it easy for what should be a simple maintenance item. Gonna get a quote at this garage getting the trans oil changed soon as that’s coming up. Will need brakes in the not too distant future too so good I found this Indy mercedes bmw place.
