How good is the pollen filter?

I'm in Raleigh where we get insane amounts of pollen. Is the best solution to just turn on recirculate for a few weeks? I've avoided using recirculate with A/C on because on other cars it can develop a musty smell after a while. But maybe that's the best way to prevent a lot of pollen inside the car.

Filtration details depend on if you have the air quality package but even the normal system should be able to handle pollen.

Recirculation is timmed as the Germans are worried about CO2 concentration.

What does timmed mean? A typo?

Yes should've been timed, it'll turn off after a bit.

I’m not worried about passing out. The car drives itself. I should have figured out the typo. Thanks.

I used to live up there. Wake Forest NC. Insane is an understatement regarding the pollen in that area. The green slime time of year. If you car is outside that filter is getting jammed up. I had my cars inside a residential garage with covers on them and they had pollen on them! It was so crazy...getting flashbacks!! Then there was the hailstorm which was the last draw for this car guy! LOL My truck which was not garaged needed a new cabin filter twice a year up there. For contrast Florida is almost every two years. Good luck

Piffle! Come to Atlanta if you want pollen, not only do we have coke, but we are also the pollen capital of Georgia! I just take allergy meds for 8 weeks and rarely wash my (now ceramic coated) car, as it gets a layer of pollen on it before I have finished drying it

The dealer offered me one free detailing. I thought to use it after the pollen. My friend tells me Lexus owners get free car washes?

I am watching my wheels get dirty. I really think I should change to different brake pads to cut down on the dust but not sure if dealer will do that for me.
