I know its a older thread but I ordered the Weistech tune over the weekend. I purchased my 2014 S550 last week and Its getting delivered later this week, super excited to get it. I knew I'd want to do the extra power so I got in on the 15% off sale they just had. I actually didn't even realize how tuneable the S550 was until after I purchased it. I had been debating between the S550 and S63, coming from a ML63 currently. I figured I'd save a little on the S550, I mainly just want the extra power which this tune can achieve.

Weistec direct just had a sale for memorial day, under $1600 shipped. My ML63 already felt fast to me in stock form, and the torque numbers will be nearly 300 less compared to the tuned sclass which is wild. Its gonna be a rocket ship to me and weighs less.

Have had my S550 for 7 weeks now and installed the Weistec tune 2 weeks ago. They honored the sales price afterwards so now I have their filters coming.

Car feels great after the tune but coming from a 800whp car, it still feels like it's missing 300hp....

I enjoy the S class more because it's more refined and with the recent Android Auto installation, it's more user friendly.

In the future I'll most likely set up my HP Tuners to see what more might be available but I'm happy with it the way it is. Fun,,,,yes,,,,rocketship,, ,no....relatively speaking....

Good to hear, what audio setup did you go with? Looking to add on wireless carplay into my car when it comes in, and also a pedal box. I'm used to having sprint booster on my ML63 for that instant throttle response. I don't need insane HP numbers, just enough to blow past some cars when I want to and keep the luxury feeling when I drive normal. Seems like a good mix for my tastes.

Road Top carplay unit. $220 and easy installation.

I don't see a need for a pedal thingy....if ya want more response, push it farther. Just my opinion.

Sport mode has decent response.
