Maintenance Reminder Reset
I have a 2019 S560 that was serviced at my local independent shop last February when the "Service A maintenance due" reminder was displayed. The shop performed all the services for A&B services. Afterwards, the display read "Service B maintenance due" and the shop wasn't able to reset it and now every time I start the car I get a "Service B due" with a counter on how many days overdue it is. At first the independent shop thought that it would need to be driven several hundred miles before it could be reset and when that didn't work, they told me that it would need a software update. I brought the car back to the independent shop and they consulted with a MB dealership who told them that there was no update to reset the reminder. The MB dealer also said the problem would resolve itself when the next service interval was due, which would be February 2024. Has anyone here had any issues with resetting service reminders, and if so, what is the solution to the problem? I have used my independent shop for many years now, both with this car and the 2012 S550 I had previously and they always gave me great service at a good price. I would appreciate any feedback about this situation.
