Used Key Programming
Can a used key from Ebay, or elsewhere, be reprogrammed to work with a different car?
Reason I ask, I'd like to install remote start, but on the 2014, S550 with removable push button start, you have to sacrifice a key in order for it to work. I just paid $780 for a spare key, I'll be damned if I'm going to sacrifice it. LOL!. I would however tear an old one apart, and pay for the reprograming, that would be 1/4 of the cost, much more tolerable.

only MB or a locksmith that would involve reading your ignition switch. removing it
and NOT used keys

MB keys are one and done, used keys are useless. As for remote start options, midcity engineering offers something that could work for you.

MB keys are one and done, used keys are useless. As for remote start options, midcity engineering offers something that could work for you.
