buying 2nd hand 2014 S
Hi all
since I remember I admired MB S classes specially the one model before the current one ( if not mistaken W222) ... don't believe I will ever be able to buy a new one ( and honestly I prefer the look outside and inside of W222)...
I am thinking to buy used 2014 S500 and there are few available here ... prices are from $AUD60000 to $AUD90000 ... the one I am interested has 132,000 KM on it and $65k but might get it a bit cheaper ( link below) ... it has been serviced every year but the service book shows it was not serviced from Nov 2018 till Feb 2021 ( 28 months) and then serviced again ( all in the add in pictures) also when in last service 2022 and 2023, it seems that Automatic transmission fluid has not been replaced... is it a problem ... the current owner is not the first owner and bought it from certified dealer in 2021 .... I can buy lower millage but $10 - $20k more expensive ... does it make sense to buy this one and save money just in case repairs are needed in future or buy the expensive one now ... any other advises and I will be grateful

Price on the S Class are dropping quickly. Hold out as long as you can and just make sure the one you purchase has a good service record. If possible try and get a 2016 or newer, preferably 2018 with the face lift. Unless you like it before the facelift.

I prefer before facelift i guess...how do you think about the one in the link ? It has the services record but missing record for 28 months ....also which one is more trouble free? S500, s350d or s400 (hybrid) ?

also appreciate if you can comment between 2014 S500, 2014 S350d and 2014 S400 ( hybrid) which one is better ... it seems I can find low mileage S400 and S350d much cheaper than S500... so I can buy 70K km S400 and S350d same price or cheaper than 130k km S500 ...
