Switching tracks Bluetooth audio Apple Music iPhone 13 Pro Max

I read the manual. Is SEARCH the way to change tracks when playing Bluetooth audio? I can get a track list by pressing down on the rotary controller but I cannot use that to change tracks. What am I doing wrong?
