S560 Seasonal Tires
Hi all,
So right now, I’m running 20” wheels on my S560 with the OEM Pirelli RFTs.
I know that this is probably the worst setup for comfort, but the tires are all pretty close to new, so I don’t plan to buy an entirely new set.
What I am considering is buying a new set of 18” wheels and putting Winter appropriate tires on.
What do you all think? Second set of wheels worth it? 18 v 19? If I run 19 do I need to run staggered?
Should I get proper snow tires like Blizzaks, or something that is “All Weather” like the FireStone Weathergrip?
I’m in southern New England, which hasn’t seen a lot of snow lately, but I like to be prepared.

I just put a set of 18s on my car. Selling the 20s.
The 20s look better but the 18s ride better and less chance of getting stuck with a flat tire in the middle of nowhere, where I live.
If you are going for winter tires, just get dedicated snow tires. It makes a big difference.
If you go all weather you can just as well put them on your 20's. You can get all seasons that are triple peak rated for snow. Not as good as snow tires, but better than most all seasons.

Does your car have the AMG Line package? If that is the case and you decide on an 18" wheel make sure that the offset is correct so that the wheels will clear the brake calipers.
