I swear I’m going crazy. I’m used to mirrors staying folded when I unlock and reverse the vehicle to exit my garage. Today it automatically unfolded the mirrors when I unlocked the car. Did I change something? Auto fold setting is on.

What is the normal setting?

I think I’m just not paying attention. 😂

I came home, folded my mirrors and locked the car. Unlocked front passenger door. Mirrors stayed folded.

Normal operation for my 2016 is that it auto folds closed when you lock the car. When you unlock the car, it unfolds. This is with the setting turned on.

Mine does the same. Lock the car, mirrors fold; unlock it and they unfold. Can you check if you have any codes saved in memory (by using an OBD-II tester)?

With my OBD scanner I don't get any codes at all. With Xentry, if I remember right, I got a code about the keyless go, but this was possibly due to battery being low at the time. I did get some message eventually about replacing the remote's battery and intermittent key not detected messages. New remote cured this issue, but I haven't plugged in Xentry since.

I have this process saved, that I found before:

1 go into menu and turn auto fold off.

2 exit menu

3 turn car off, go out and lock car

4 open car and restart

5 go to menu and turn auto fold on

6 exit menu

7 turn car off

8 lock car from outside of car

It only unfolded when open that one time. It’s back to normal today. These little quirks drive me crazy.
