Currently drive a W222 S550. Love pretty much everything about the car except the steering wheel. We all know the pre-facelift W222 received a rather unique looking steering wheel. Many love it, however many feel it looks like a clown face. I fall into the latter camp. I had retrofit the facelift W222 S65/65 AMG steering wheel into my old W221 and felt it was the best upgrade I had made on my car. From the look to the way it feels in your hand, I think it might be the best wheel Mercedes has done. Decided to upgrade mine. Shoutout to @lthlc63. He was quick to respond, was reasonably priced, and quick to ship. Here are the results. Won't be for everyone but I absolutely love it. Will just have to make sure I wash my hands before each drive!
Wheel looks fantastic, I've contemplated it and put the idea on the back burner but now I feel the need to do this. Mind sharing the cost and if there were any issues with installation?
I bought it from a forum member who is active here and has a business doing this. I can PM you the cost. This was something in stock already so it may be different if its a custom order. Quality is top notch. Included an airbag and the module for the retrofit. It took all of ten minutes to swap. No dash lights or anything. It is plug and play
Im also interested do you mind sharing the info with me as well. One question I have is do your steering wheel warmer work with this upgrade?
I mentioned the seller in my original post. I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you DM'd him. In terms of the heated steering wheel that would be a question for him. I told him I was indifferent if it functioned. I live in the desert and have not used that feature once.

for those asking about heat, no we dont make any wheels with the heated option.
we can retrofit in the lane assist vibration but nothing to do with a heating coil on either the all leather/alcantara wheels or carbon fiber.
That's a great upgrade . My W212 also has alcantara / suede pieces at the sides and it just feels good . I am into pre facelift W222's two spoke steering wheel either .

Personally, not for me. I would be especially bothered by the wheel's carbon fiber not matching the wood trim. If it was wood instead of carbon fiber, maybe. I like the design of the center airbag part. The steering wheel also looks like the sides are flattened? Doesn't look symmetrical from the angle of the pic, that'll throw my OCD off the charts lol

Will likely retrofit the carbon interior trim when I find a full set at a reasonable price. The wood is a bit too old man for me. And that's the OEM design of that steering wheel, same you'd get in the facelift S63. Feels great in the hands.

Remove Service Notice with Aftermarket Steering Wheel
Anyone know how to remove the service notice through Assyst Plus on a 2015 with this aftermarket steering wheel? I can only find how to do it with the clown face steering wheel.

With car in position 1 press the call up and black button at the same time. It will give you the Assy+ and message to start the car.
I have lane assist vibration and heat on my aftermarket steering wheel. 2015 S63

Do you offer the steering wheel in full leather? I like the air leather sides, but would prefer leather on the top and bottom instead of wood or carbon.
