I mean, I assume (never a safe thing to do) it will "fit"...
Just wondering if you would lose any steering wheel functionality vs. the 2018-2020 one?
And whether there are extra functions on the 2021+ one there aren't even available to use in the 2018-2020 cars, etc.

My question is why? I have driven lots of MBs now with that new wheel and the new haptic controls and getting back into my car with the physical buttons is always such a relief...

The 2018-2020 one, to me, has too much metal/aluminum showing.
To me, it looks more like it belongs in a BMW and not a Mercedes.
Or, in an AMG version - but not the regular S-Class.
But if I would lose 25% functionality (of the 2018-2020 wheel) - then it's a non-starter.

Because I like the look of the newest (2021+) one better than the older (2018-2020) one.

2020 S560 Sedan, 2019 SL450, 2019 E450 Luxury Trim Wagon, '24 BMW I7 on order...
As someone who has had both, I can tell you that the steering wheel used in the 2021 & later S Class is absolute garbage, compared to the magnificent one used in the W222 facelift models. The “new & improved” steering wheel, trimmed in black plastic and equipped with switchgear that is horrible is a frigging nightmare, in my opinion.
