2015s550 oil filter interchangeable

i drive them all, fast and hard
2015s550 oil filter interchangeable
so decided to the oil change on fathers s550.
I have a m157 e63 so i assumed the same filter. Luckily i watched a video on the s550 night before and realized the oil filter could be1 of 2 types. SO are they interchangeable. Reason i ask if i was going through the records of the car. I found that there was one with the 276 number with the plastic teepee cone and one record with 278.
SO i ordered the other version not knowing what was in my car
I took out the 276 style and went ahead with my oil change. Afterwards was thinking could the 278 style have worked in the same housing? Are they interchangeable?
