2016 S550 P0019
Hello W222 Family
I have an issue with my 2016 S550. I had the oil change done at a MB dealer, and about a thousand miles later got a major oil leak coming from the oil filter. Everything was soaked in oil around the engine bay. The dealer overtightened the filter and compromised the o ring. I changed the o ring and retightened the filter and no oil leakeage. The issue is that I now have a check engine with code P0019. I got a "check engine oil level at next refueling," and thought that the car had a minor leak or something along those lines. I made it home (20-30 miles). The next morning, my girlfriend took the car and started to drive and made it 5-6 miles and got a check engine and said the engine started to make a knocking noise. She turned off the car. I went and filled the car with oil and it runs smooth and all however it has a check engine with a p0019 code. Tried replacing the cam position sensor on that side which the oil had leaked all over with no success. What do you guys think happened? Another question is why does one of the most advanced cars in the world not have a "critical engine oil level stop engine immediately lamp/warning"?
