CPO Warranty and Air Conditioning Issue
Does anyone know if an air conditioner recharge and leak detection are covered by the Mercedes CPO warranty? My car is a CPO and I've had it less than a year. I'm wondering if I'm going to need to foot the bill for this myself or if it's covered under warranty. Thanks in advance.

read the contract you signed when you bought the car... i bought pre owned car in europe from a mercedes dealer and got warranty for engine and transmission for 1 year or 40k km... its all written in the papers i signed when i bought the car... I am also almost sure this depends on the dealer where you bought the car not on Mercedes itself.
btw, once a stone flew through front bumber on my w213 inside and the first cooler behind bumper is the AC cooler, ofc the stone made a hole there and i needed new ac cooler, changed it on insurance as the stone flew through the bumper from outsite.. but it probably also depends what kind of insurance you have

My 2016 Maybach AC died on my in the 50,000 range. I realize your car probably has a different engine BUT I can share with you my solution. I was able to see where the leak was due to AC lube oil being around the leak. It was one of the two rubber hoses that go from the body of the car to the AC compressor. The leak was where the rubber hose mounts to the metal flange to attach to the compressor. The part was about 130 dollars at the dealer and took me less than an hour to change. I brought the service equipment to recharge it and did it myself but if I took it to a shop the whole repair would have been around 200 dollars.
As far as whats covered under warranty I have no idea I am no fan of them.

Thanks to all who responded. I spoke to the dealer and he thinks it will be covered. Scheduled for service on May 18. I guess I’ll know for sure then.

For Mercedes CPO it will be covered as long as it's not due to damage which as someone stated is not that uncommon as the condenser is at the front of the cooling stack.
